Basketball Training for Kids 2 thru 10 years
Within this fun and non-league, weekly basketball program, your kids should expect to be exposed to all aspects of the game including how to: pass, catch, dribble, cut & pivot, shoot, lay-up, screen, stance, box-out, close down, and block. Our goal and focus during our 40-55-minute classes is to maintain an energetic and highly active setting that will foster teamwork, individual goal-setting and endurance coupled with the most important factor in sports: FUN! Each week different skills will be taught then applied in small-sided scrimmages. There is a very large amount of running in these classes, so please be prepared!
Parent participation/facilitation Mandatory
Finally! We’ve added a much requested age group for your budding basketball stars! We keep this class fun and engaging while keeping your kids running, using colorful props like balloons, hula hoops, noodles, and spots in addition to appropriate sized baskets. The very basics of ball handling, dribbling, catching, passing and shooting will be introduced. Your child’s fine and gross motor skills will get a work out!
This is the perfect age to really teach your children and see how we can make them the BEST. SlamDunkerz program will introduce and teach your players the proper way to hold a basketball, dribble a basketball with their pads of their fingers, how and why they throw a bounce pass vs a chest pass vs an over head pass and most importantly how they correctly shoot it the ball? There are fun tricks to learn how to do these things with and without a basketball.
This is the age group that will not only introduce all the concepts of basketball such as passing, dribbling and shooting (Triple Threat), we will also test your players endurance and stamina. By providing non-stop activities and small sided scrimmaging or one one ones or two on two, your players will get quality skill training while learning what the 4th threat is in the triple treat…. It has you wondering doesn’t it.
